Armenia:
Consulting Services for Rehabilitation of the 220/110/10 kV Substation Gyumri II

The 220/110 kV substation Gyumri II is one of the central nodes in Armenia's HV transmission system. Built in 1972, it had been only partially refurbished after a severe earthquake in 1988, making its operation unreliable and unsafe. In addition, its communication system was more and more incompatible with other modernised 220 kV substations in the HV network. The present project therefore included a fundamental rehabilitation and partial reconstruction of the substation.
