Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann GmbH (HKM - producer of steel and pre-products) needed a new 110 kV cable to supply its new coking plant. This required adaptations in two concerned 110/25 kV Substations.

  • Services phases 1 to 8 of HOAI (German official scale of fees for services by architects and engineers)
  • Basic evaluation and pre-planning with cost estimate
  • Elaboration of the concept design
  • Elaboration of the permit planning
  • Elaboration of technical specifications, bills of quantities (BoQs), and tender documents
  • Assistance for tendering and award for 4 lots
  • Site supervision
Technical Data
  • 110 kV XLPE cable (150 MVA) of 2.4 km length, including rail undercrossing
  • Adaptation of the primary and secondary equipment in two substations (replacement of external gas pressure cable bushings, new cable terminations, drive and control cables, adaptation of control and protection parameters, field and station control technology)
  • Rerouting of an external gas pressure cable
  • Retrofitting during operation
