The Power Efficiency and Reliability Improvement Project (PERIP) defines, finances and implements emergency priority measures to alleviate the most critical supply constraints in EDM's transmission and distribution grid. The present project includes site supervision for the identified technical measures.

- 66 kV overhead transmission lines and underground cables in Maputo
- Replacement of control, protection, and switchgear equipment in 3 substations in central and north Mozambique
- Rehabilitation and extension of distribution networks in Maputo, Matola and Nacala
