Power Efficiency and Reliability Improvement Project (PERIP): Consulting Services for Engineering Design and Construction Supervision for Emergency Rehabilitation & Reinforcement of Transmission and Distribution Networks Project - Phases II and III

The Power Efficiency and Reliability Improvement Project (PERIP) defines, finances and implements emergency priority measures to alleviate the most critical supply constraints in EDM's transmission and distribution grid. The present project includes site supervision for the identified technical measures.

Technical Data
  • Installation of 66/11 and 110/33 kV power transformers and double busbar installation in 20 substations in Maputo and Lichinga
  • 66 kV overhead transmission lines and underground cables in Maputo
  • Replacement of control, protection, and switchgear equipment in 3 substations in central and north Mozambique
  • Rehabilitation and extension of distribution networks in Maputo, Matola and Nacala
